WQB Mold Removal started the way most good local contracting outfits do: with a small crew that got tired of watching homeowners in Millis, MA get quoted twice for the same job by companies that vanished halfway through.
Our field techs are equipped with negative-air machines, HEPA filtration units, and borescopes for checking inside wall cavities without tearing the whole thing open unnecessarily.
We carry full liability coverage on every Millis job, and our dispatchers can usually get a technician on-site the same day a call comes in.
Ask any Millis property manager who's dealt with a bad remediation job and they'll tell you the same thing: the difference isn't the chemicals, it's whether the crew actually found and fixed the moisture source instead of just spraying the visible mold and leaving.
We also work directly with a network of Millis-area contractors when a job needs drywall replacement, plumbing repair, or roofing work after remediation is complete, so you're not left juggling three different companies.
Some of the worst colonization in Millis homes happens somewhere you'd never think to check.
A stale, damp smell that lingers even after cleaning usually means active growth somewhere behind drywall or under flooring. Candles and air fresheners might mask it for an afternoon, but the smell almost always returns by the next day.
Any Millis property with a prior roof leak, burst pipe, or flooding event is at higher risk if the drying wasn't done professionally. We can check behind an old repair with a moisture meter in under an hour to put your mind at ease either way.
Sneezing, coughing, or headaches that improve when you leave the house and return when you're back inside are a classic mold indicator. Air quality testing can confirm or rule out mold as the cause before you spend money chasing the wrong culprit.
Discoloration around an HVAC vent frequently means moisture is condensing inside the ductwork itself. A quick photo sent to our office can sometimes help us gauge urgency before you even schedule a visit.
From a single bathroom to a flooded crawl space, our Millis crews scale the response to match the actual problem.
Our emergency teams arrive with containment barriers and air scrubbers ready to deploy the moment they walk in. Extraction equipment and industrial dehumidifiers go in immediately to slow the moisture before it ever has a chance to seed a new colony.
We isolate the affected area with plastic sheeting and negative air pressure so spores don't spread to the rest of your Millis home during the work. We'll also flag any structural repair the job needs and put you in touch with a trusted Millis tradesperson if it's outside our scope.
Retail spaces, offices, and multi-unit buildings in Millis, MA often need remediation scheduled around business hours to limit disruption. We're comfortable working evenings or weekends on commercial jobs when that's what keeps a Millis business running without interruption.
Air sampling and surface swabs identify exactly what species is present before we ever propose a treatment plan. A written inspection report is available for real estate transactions, refinancing, or your own peace of mind about a Millis property.
Attic mold often traces back to poor roof ventilation or bathroom exhaust fans venting into the attic instead of outside. We often find the crawl space is the real source of a musty smell upstairs, even in Millis homes where the visible living space looks perfectly clean.
Sealing, grading corrections, and ventilation upgrades often prevent the exact conditions that caused the original problem. A small investment in prevention is almost always cheaper than paying for the same remediation twice.
We keep the process simple enough to explain over the phone in under two minutes.
A quick phone conversation helps us bring the right equipment on the first visit instead of a second trip. Have a rough sense of when the problem started if you can — it helps us plan the visit.
We walk the property with a moisture meter and, when needed, take air or surface samples for lab analysis. We point out exactly what we're seeing as we go, not just at the end.
Containment barriers go up first, then affected materials are removed, treated, and HEPA-vacuumed according to industry protocol. Daily progress updates are available if you're not on-site during the work.
A final clearance test confirms spore counts are back to normal before we consider the job finished. Any lingering questions get answered on the spot before we pack up.
Our estimates are itemized line by line, which means you know exactly what you're paying for and why.
We keep a dedicated crew covering Millis, MA so response times don't balloon during peak humidity season.
We hand you lab results and a written scope of work, giving you something concrete beyond our word.
And if something doesn't sit right after we leave, our satisfaction guarantee means we come back and make it right at no extra charge.
We also try to be upfront about what we can't fix on day one — if a Millis home has an underlying roof or plumbing issue causing repeat moisture intrusion, we'll say so plainly instead of quietly re-treating the same spot every year.
Local reputation matters more to a small Millis-area crew than a national franchise ever has to worry about, and that keeps us honest about scope, pricing, and timelines.
If regrowth tied to our workmanship shows up within the warranty window, we come back to your Millis property and fix it at no additional cost.

The questions we hear before nearly every job.
Response time depends on scheduling load, but same-day or next-morning arrival is typical for Millis, MA service areas. If you're dealing with active water intrusion, mention that when you call so we can flag the job as urgent.
Yes — every job gets a flat-rate, itemized quote before any work begins, so there's no surprise invoice at the end. We're happy to walk through the line items with you over the phone before you commit to anything.
Our on-call crew handles active flooding, sewage backups, and sudden mold discovery around the clock, including nights and weekends. Emergency visits include temporary containment to keep the problem from spreading while the full remediation plan is put together.
Testing typically takes a few business days, and you receive a written lab report with the results. We'll walk you through what the lab report actually means in plain terms, not just hand you a page of Latin names.
Coverage depends on your policy and the cause of the moisture, so we recommend calling your insurer, and we can supply documentation to support a claim. We're glad to speak directly with your adjuster if that helps move your Millis claim along faster.
Timeline depends on the square footage affected and whether structural materials need to be removed and replaced. We'll give you a realistic timeline estimate after the initial inspection rather than a generic number pulled from a brochure.
Anyone with asthma or mold sensitivities may want to arrange alternate accommodations during larger jobs, and we'll advise based on scope. Pets are usually fine staying in an unaffected part of the Millis home, but we'll flag any exceptions during the walkthrough.
We recommend keeping children and pets away from the containment zone until the area passes clearance testing. Once we complete post-remediation testing and the numbers come back clean, the space is safe to use normally again.
Post-remediation testing confirms spore counts returned to normal, and our guarantee covers regrowth tied to our workmanship. We'll also give you practical advice on ventilation, dehumidifier use, or grading changes that can help prevent a repeat issue in your Millis property.
Call +1-844-578-1604 to ask about current inspection options for your Millis address, as availability can vary by season. Even a phone consultation before scheduling can help you understand whether what you're seeing warrants a visit.
"Removal" implies eliminating all mold entirely, which isn't realistic since spores exist naturally everywhere, while "remediation" means returning spore levels to a normal, safe range. Any company promising 100% mold removal is stretching the truth, since outdoor and indoor air both naturally carry some spore count.
Surface cleaning with bleach may remove visible staining but rarely reaches spores embedded in porous materials like drywall or subfloor. For small, non-porous surfaces a simple cleaning may be fine, but anything on drywall, wood, or carpet usually needs a professional look.
